Dance Groups

Kindergarten Dance Group

At the beginning of each school year, students from Kindergarten are invited to audition for the Kindergarten Dance Group. Depending on the number of children who are interested, these auditions may take place over a few days. Successful children will be notified and a permission note will be sent home.

The Kindergarten dance group will have lunch time rehearsals each week. Students may have the opportunity to audition for The Hills Performing Arts Festival. There will be numerous opportunities for students to perform their dance routine. This may include:

  • Friday assemblies
  • School Open Day
  • Blacktown Festival of Performing Arts
     

 

Stage 1 Dance Group

Year 1 and 2 students are invited to audition for the Stage 1 Dance Group at the beginning of the year. Commitment to the group is important . Dance practice is held once a week during the first half of lunch.  Attending the dance group will provide students with the opportunity to develop their confidence and to learn a choreographed dance. Students will perform in school events throughout the school year. This may include:

•Friday assemblies

•Caddies in Concert

•Hills Performing Arts

Boys Dance Group  (3-6)

At the beginning of each school year, students from Years K-6 are invited to audition for the Boys Dance Group. Depending on the number of children who are interested, these auditions may take place over a few days. Successful children will be notified and a permission note will be sent home. In 2024, there will be 2 boys groups, a K-2 Boys Dance Group and a 3-6 Boys Dance Group.

The K-2 Boys Dance Group will have lunch time rehearsals each week. The 3-6 Boys dance group will have rehearsals before school (8:15am). Students may have the opportunity to audition for the Synergy Dance Festival and The Hills Performing Arts Festival. There will be numerous opportunities for students to perform their routine. This may include:

  • Friday assemblies
  • School Open Day

3-6 Dance Group

The 3- 6 Dance Group comprises of 30 students from Years 3 - 6. Students attend rehearsals twice a week at lunch time. The 3-6 Dance Group has the opportunity to perform at various events throughout the year. Students will have the opportunity to audition for The Hills Performing Arts Festival and the Synergy Dance Festival. There will be numerous opportunities for students to perform their dance routine. This may include:

  • Caddies in Concert
  • Caddies Open Day
