Students in Year 6 have the option of applying for one of 6 library monitor positions at the beginning of each year. If successful, students are inducted into the role at assembly and are presented with a special badge. Library monitors are important roles within our school, as these students help to support the smooth operation of the library. The role involves students' giving up part of their lunch break to shelve books and tidy shelves. In Term 3, it also involves helping to set up displays for our Book Fair and our author/illustrator visits. As a library monitor, students also have the opportunity to help mentor younger students in Yrs 3-5, who are interested in becoming future library monitors. Our 2024 group of monitors have made a great start to the role.
